Mattiazzi is passionate about wood and design. We make exceptional furniture, drawing from a rich history of fine craftsmanship. By combining handmade craft and digital innovation in woodworking, we make long-lasting, cherished pieces.
In 1979, the brothers Nevio and Fabiano Mattiazzi founded a wood workshop bearing their family name, specializing in the production of high-quality wooden chairs, sourced and manufactured sustainably.
Based in Friuli, northeast Italy, Mattiazzi furniture is produced with a dedicated environmental sensibility, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint: wood is sourced using the most sustainable practices, and in the factory, a rooftop solar farm supplies all in-house energy while any wood waste is utilised efficiently to heat the factory in winter.
In the past 12 years, Mattiazzi has emerged as a celebrated premium brand with an uncompromising design ethos, collaborating with the global design elite including Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Nitzan Cohen, Konstantin Grcic, Sam Hecht & Kim Colin, Jasper Morrison, Leon Ransmeier, Foster + Partners, Julien Renault, Julie Richoz, Max Frommeld, Marialaura Irvine and Studio Œ.
These designers approach wood production both philosophically and practically. Each collection represents strong ideas that are rooted in the passione of the Mattiazzi family and their exceptional team, always optimistically embracing new technical challenges.
