Tarans explorations into material and techniques often lead to objects that oscillate between the rational and the sentimental.

Taran graduated with a Masters in Design from the Institute of Design, at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Music and Design at UiB in 2022. Her master thesis Reflections on Light was nominated for a Norwegian Light Prize 2022. Taran is also a part of the Bergen-based YTRE Collective, who were nominated as Bo Bedres Newcomer of the Year 2022, and took home an NYCxDesign Award during NYC Design week 2022
