Lars Tornøe

Lars Tornøe was born in 1979 to Norwegian parents in Düsseldorf, and has spent most of his life in Norway. He graduated as a furniture designer from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, where he studied from 2001 to 2006. From his studio in Stavanger, Tornøe collaborates with both Norwegian and international manufacturers, such as Muuto, Vestre, Fora Form, and New Works.

His designs have been recognized with design awards, such as the Red Dot Award and several DogA awards. His products have also been showcased at international exhibitions and acquired by the National Museum (Norway) and Design Museum Denmark. Industrial production techniques and commercial appeal are crucial aspects of Tornøe's design approach. With a timeless and accessible design language, he has created a diverse range of popular products that have found their way into homes, workplaces, and public spaces worldwide.
