This year’s theme: Repurpose.

Designers’ Saturday is Norway’s largest meeting place for design and interior architecture, serving as a hub for inspiration, professional development, and networking. This year's theme, Repurpose, will serve as the cornerstone of the autumn event.

— There are many reasons why we can no longer continue with the same consumption patterns as before. We live in an uncertain world marked by environmental disasters, social unrest, and economic crises. Many can no longer afford to buy as they once did, and authorities are demanding new solutions, says Heidi Lie, CEO of Designers’ Saturday.

With Repurpose, Designers’ Saturday aims to spotlight a more conscious approach to reuse, upcycling, and creative adaptation.

— Repurpose is about giving things a new meaning. Instead of building new, we want to explore how we can transform what already exists—whether it’s spatial solutions, material choices, or building rehabilitation. We must utilize resources, places, and objects in new ways. It reflects a growing respect for the materials and items we surround ourselves with, Lie explains.

«The greatest thing we can do is not discard what seems outdated, but reimagine its potential.»
Heidi Lie, CEO of Designers' Saturday

Discover how the theme of Repurpose can inspire us to create a more sustainable future. The theme will serve as a common thread throughout the event, reflected in exhibitions, DS Talks, and the DS Awards.

The dates for this year’s Designers’ Saturday are set for September 12–14, 2025.
