The founder Maddalena De Padova originally offered a selection of Scandinavian furniture and objects to her Italian clients under the trademark "Edizioni De Padova"

In the 80's through the collaboration of Achille Castiglioni, Dieter Rams and above all Vico Magistretti, De Padova becomes famous for its modern yet timeless style. Today De Padova is part of the Boffi | De Padova Group, and works with designers from most parts of the world.

Recent collaborations have been established with the Japanese design brand Time & Style, celebrating traditional craftsmanship, and recently charismatic British fashion designer Sir Paul Smith has created environmentally friendly furniture ranges for both indoor and outdoor use.
