Theme 2025
For DS Unika 2025, the concept is to create unique objects made from Norwegian wood. Eight designers, carefully selected by an external jury, will each develop their own piece over the coming months. The finished results will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition during Designers' Saturday 2025.
The project is already underway, beginning with an inspiring workshop at the Norwegian furniture manufacturer Hamran. Located close to large forest areas with southern oak, Hamran provided participants with access to Norwegian wood, tools, and machinery in its woodworking workshop during a three-day workshop. This setting allowed them to draw inspiration from Norwegian craft traditions and each other's creative ideas. You can read more about the workshop under "News" on our homepage.

With a Bachelor's degree in fashion design, as well as both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in furniture design and interior architecture from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Silje has developed a broad and interdisciplinary expertise in the field of design. She has gained valuable experience through her work as a furniture designer, interior architect, exhibition designer, and project manager at DogA.
