Silje Nesdal
Silje Nesdal, originally from Innvik in Nordfjord, has her roots in an area with long-standing traditions in furniture and textile industries. With a Bachelor's degree in fashion design, as well as both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in furniture design and interior architecture from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Silje has developed a broad and interdisciplinary expertise in the field of design. She has gained valuable experience through her work as a furniture designer, interior architect, exhibition designer, and project manager at DogA.
Silje’s design philosophy is characterized by sustainability and the use of durable materials. She combines traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern production methods, resulting in products with a subtle and timeless expression. Inspired by stays in Finland and Japan, she has developed a minimalist design language that is reflected in her work. Based in Oslo, she continues to create products that are both functional and aesthetically enduring.
