Lloyd Achim Winter was born in 1991 in Bremen, Germany. He began his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in Berlin in 2011, has worked as a journeyman in Norway since 2014, and completed a bachelor's degree in product design at OsloMet in 2022, followed by a master's degree in furniture design and interior architecture at KHiO in 2024. He is at the beginning of a career where he explores the balance between art, craftsmanship, and design.

As a practitioner, he questions where the authority to determine a form lies. Instead of chasing after one major achievement, he believes in the power of small steps. Rather than shaping form, he focuses on discovering form or allowing it to emerge—stumbling upon it, nurturing it, and finally accepting it. It is the intentions behind the creation of form that are central, as he seeks to be a catalyst in a process that results in form.

His work aims to contribute to a world where form is less dictated by individuals and more developed through an interplay of various factors and stakeholders. Whether it concerns urban development or the creation of objects, his interest is always tied to how a form comes into being, with a desire for a world where human-made form does not conflict with its surroundings.
