Designer Saturday is Norway’s only cutting edge industry fair covering furniture,textiles, lighting and more. Approximately 140 Norwegian and internationalexhibitors show their latest designs in 25 venues across the centre of Oslo.More than 6,000 architects, interior designers, suppliers and other tradeprofessionals from all over the country use this opportunity to catch up on thelatest designs, trends, looks and style within their particular profession.This year marks the 13th anniversary of the fair in Oslo. The fairstarted 30 years ago in New York and is still arranged in several cities aroundthe world. The fair is held bi-annually in Oslo. A complimentary shuttle-busservice is provided for visitors. Industry professionals have exclusive accesson Saturday September 5 whilst September 6 the fair also opens to the generalpublic, Public Sunday.

Exhibitors who do not have access to a showroom in oneof the approved venues should make direct contact with other exhibitors intheir field. Designers Saturday’s board and secretariat will be happy toprovide contact details to other exhibitors as required.
Guidelines for approved showroom and bus-stop:
The venue should be an appropriate distance from anallocated bus stop. A minimum of five exhibitors are required per bus stop andthere must be at least three exhibitors per showroom. Only paying exhibitorsmay be represented at the venue, non-paying exhibitors will be invoicedsubsequent to the event, or maybe denied access to the applicable showrooms atthe next Designers Saturday event. Each showroom must appoint a contact personwho is responsible for communications with DS and any borrowed equipment aswell as provide relevant information to appointed guides and security guards.
Payment:
Exhibitors’fee is NOK 27,500 excluding VAT,pr manufacturer/brand. The fee is paid upon receiving confirmation that theparticipation application has been approved.
Informationabout each individual exhibitor will be made available here on the DesignersSaturday web page as well as the fair catalogue once payment has been received.Designers Saturday is a nonprofit organization. The fee covers participation onboth days. The participation fee goes towards covering expense related to thefree visitor shuttle-bus, guides, security guards, and visitors’ registrationSaturday September 5th, signage, exhibitors’ catalogue, a dedicated web site andmarketing costs. Additional expenses incurred for each showroom such asdecorations, catering, entertainment etc are not included in the fee.
